Welcome to the Kalamazoo Singers website!  We are pleased that you found us, and we hope that you enjoy exploring this site.

We are pleased to announce our 2010-2011 season, our 34th concert season!

Our opening concert will be at the Holy Family Chapel at Nazareth on Sunday, November 14, 2010, at 3:00 PM.  "A Harvest of Song" will feature a variety of music to help us celebrate autumn's beauty and a season of thanks.

In the midst of winter, we'll present "That's Amore".  Join us Sunday, February 5, 2011, at 3:00 PM, in Dalton Center Recital Hall on the campus of Western Michigan University.  Even though it's not a tribute to Dean Martin, we'll present music inspired by Cupid's playful arrow.

This past spring, Thomas Kasdorf retired after thirty years as Music Director and Conductor of the Kalamazoo Singers.  Due to the efforts of Tom and his wife, Gail, the Kalamazoo Singers has become one of Southwest Michigan's leading choral organizations.  While we regret that Tom will no longer be leading the group, we look forward to continued success and new opportunities as we seek Tom's successor.

To celebrate Tom's tenure and to pay him tribute, please plan to be with us on Saturday, April 16, 2011, at 8:00 PM, in Thomas R. Kasdorf Auditorium on the campus of Loy Norrix High School as we present "A Tribute to Tom".  Through his work as an instructor at Loy Norrix High School and Western Michigan University, and as Director of Music at Kalamazoo First Presbyterian Church, and as Music Director and Conductor of the Kalamazoo Singers, Tom has touched thousands of lives with his musical gifts.  Plan now to join colleagues, alumni, friends, and the Kalamazoo Singers in Kasdorf Auditorium, as we present a night of music, fun, memories, surprises, and gratitude to the man who means so much to so many.

In other news, auditions were held on Sunday, August 29, 2010 and Monday, August 30, 2010.  Thank you to everyone who auditioned.  For those people whose schedule prevented them from auditioning, please monitor this website for announcements regarding future auditions.

We wish to extend our thanks and appreciation for the continued interest in the Kalamazoo Singers.  None of this would be possible without the support of our audience, for which we are extremely grateful.  Please scroll down, or click on any of the links on the left-hand side of the page, in order to learn more about the Kalamazoo Singers!
